From The President's Desk...

Dear Friends,

I bring you greetings on behalf of my calling in life, Inspirationally Yours Motivational Services, Inc. During the era of quick, fast and faster. When people want and need to be united in relationships. It appears that we have forgotten about the basics. We now go from beginning to end with no middle in site. We get further than our ancestors but neither obtain nor maintain any form of substance.

During this time when we must continue to "expect the unexpected". I urge you to "major in the minors". By doing so, you will simply go back to the social graces and courtesies that we once bid each other. You will spend time with your children at the dinner table. You will read the newspaper rather than wear your eyes out on the computer. Majoring in the minors means getting to the core source of what you and your family really need and want in your life. It is a simplistic approach to living. For many of us, it may mean getting on our knees to praise God for all His many blessings. However, this statement applies to you, reflect and respond to it in a way that will propel your life.

God Bless,
Tiffany Willis-Gilmore

Common Sense Counseling

Dear Common Sense,

I have a lot of goals that God has placed on my heart. I am rather behind because I allow the work that I do for other people to take up most of my time. I don’t want to forsake them because they really need me. They just don’t seem to be able to pull it together on their own. What should I do?

Signed
People Taking My Time

Dear People Taking My Time,

You seem to know your purpose but won’t act on it. God gave you those talents to worship Him. You need to be obedient and give him what he expects of you. Put God first! Let Him know that you understand your purpose. Let Him see that you will dedicate your talents to His work. Say an intercessory prayer on those individuals' behalf. You said yourself that "they can’t get it right". Do what you are supposed to do so that God can make an example of your life. Allow Him to strengthen you so that you can be an inspiration to all those in need.

Don't Quit Poem by Anonymous

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest! if you must; but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow;
You might succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit;
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.
